I've waited years for my first pair of New Rocks and was so excited to finally be able to purchase the Panzer. It arrived in about a month, which was nice. Overall, the shoe looks good, and the leather is nice. I wear a 7 1/2 to 8 in US sizes, so I ordered a 38. I was concerned that that might even be too small since European sizes run smaller. This shoe is at least a half-size too big, so I'd say they run fairly true to size if not a little large. The big problem for me is the lower ankle strap. I was surprised to see that the strap connected with velcro rather than a buckle. It fit across my ankle, with the patches lining up, but as soon as I walk, they pop open and flop backwards. I can't imagine why New Rock would chose to fix an ankle strap with velcro. I'd understand if it were lower on the shoe for more decorative details, but this is a functional strap that needs to stay in place. Not to mention that every single other strap on the shoe, functional or not, has a buckle except this one. This is maddening to me after paying more than $250 to get this shoe. Now, I suppose I'll have to order buckles and then pay a professional to sew them on so the strap will stay in place. Let me just say also, that I do not have thick ankles. The strap fastens properly, it simply will not hold once your ankle begins to move and bend as ankles do. I decided to go ahead and wear the shoe in hopes that the strap might give more, or I could find a way to keep it closed, but I'd really like to just send them back.
